My client, a reputable high frequency trading firm, is actively seeking a low latency C++ quant developer to join their team in Hong Kong. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance, low-latency trading systems and infrastructure, with a focus on optimizing execution speed and reducing latency.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize low-latency trading systems and infrastructure using C++.
Collaborate with trading teams, quantitative analysts, and infrastructure teams to understand requirements and translate them into efficient software solutions.
Implement trading algorithms and strategies, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and capable of handling large volumes of data.
Optimize code and algorithms for high performance and low latency, utilizing techniques such as memory management, multithreading, and hardware acceleration.
Conduct thorough testing and analysis of trading systems to identify and resolve any performance bottlenecks or issues.
Work closely with market data providers and exchanges to integrate their APIs and ensure smooth data flow and order execution.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in low-latency technologies, trading protocols, and exchange connectivity.
Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to deploy and maintain trading systems in production environments.
Monitor and analyze system performance and latency metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement optimizations.
Document and maintain technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in C++ programming language, with a focus on low-latency systems development.
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multithreading concepts.
Experience in the financial industry, preferably in a trading or market-making environment.
Familiarity with electronic trading protocols and exchange connectivity, such as FIX, FAST, or binary protocols.
Knowledge of networking concepts and TCP/IP stack.
Experience with low-level programming and optimization techniques for performance, including CPU cache optimization and memory management.
Understanding of market data feeds, order routing, and algorithmic trading strategies.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
